Ian Tomlinson's Family Welcome Police Apology

Introduction

I keep noticing these strange patterns, i cant be the only one.

Article Content

Ian Tomlinson's family welcome police apology yet no police officer goes on trial for murder?
Same thing happened when they shot Brazilian Jean Charles de Menezes (suspected fleeing terrorist) so the police said on the day. However it turned out he was just catching a train.
Both times the police lied to cover their tracks and then got found to be lying and pay a settlement out of tax payers money.
I thought if you get found guilty of murder you go to prison, except if your in the force it seems.

How can a settlement and apology be substituted for justice when you know for a fact that someone actually murdered a loved one?
